Time to Wine came about after attending the yearly Maryland Wine Festival. The Wine Festival was our first introduction to the "world of wine". We enjoyed going around to many of the local wineries at the festival and sampling their various wines. It was after the Wine Festival that we decided that we wanted to host our own wine tasting party for family and friends. We had no idea how to start, but once the invitations were mailed we knew we only had a few weeks to figure it all out. The year was 2002 when we year held our first Time to Wine wine-tasting party. We didn't know what our friends would think, because they, like us were not really wine drinkers. We wanted to do something fun and different, but we didn't want to make it overwhelming or intimidating, This was all new to us as well as our friends. We just wanted to get everyone to try different wines. We knew we didn't want fancy wine terms, or intimidating wine talk, wanted to created a fun informal non-intimidating wine tasting party. So from there we created our own wine tasting party theme with a blind taste test, simple rating card, wine stickers and our wine game trivia quiz. The party turned out to be a huge success with all of our friends, and is something they look forward to every year. So year after year we found ourselves running around to different stores to gather all our props and supplies needed to host our party and to make the night a success. We needed invitations, rating cards, wine bags, number tags, wine stickers, wine theme prizes, wine glasses and more. It was a lot of running around and a lot of shopping, so after about 4 years of this we decided to create and design our Time to Wine - Wine Tasting Party Kit. We found other wine tasting kits out on the market, but none had the playful, fun, non-intimidating party theme we were looking for. We took everything we learned and gathered over the years to develop and design our Time to Wine – Wine Tasting Party Kit.

This was the start of Time to Wine, Inc. We started with our party kit and expanded our love of wine into our www.timetowineonline.com website.
